The style of the 23 artists is almost the same except Song Renwei's "the return of the herd". The art critic believes that a spirit of aestheticism is revealed.
Oil painting has been introduced into China for more than 300 years, but European classical realism has not taken root in China, but Russian style has been accepted and inherited.
Because of the emergence of photography, the birth of modern art, painting no longer contending with photography, traditional classical realism painting and modern society is getting far away.
However, the above 23 artists are committed to the exploration and practice of traditional classical realism. From their works, we can feel that the authors are calm and tolerant. As for my work, I dare not comment on it, but at least give me a sedative in the art circles that are impetuous and eager for quick success and instant benefit.
Unexpectedly, this exhibition included my cousin, Wang Dongsheng's work, and was made into a poster for the exhibition.
Because my uncle was imprisoned in the cultural revolution, Wang Dongsheng did not have the chance to receive higher education. I remember that when I joined the army, I sent him my favorite oil painting box, hoping to give him some help. The honest and hardworking cousin finally rewarded me with my achievements today.
I hope Wang Dongsheng can go further.
